Guvera in tune with The Rocket
Guvera, a
company whose cutting-edge technology allows consumers to download free and
legal music content in a revolutionary solution for the entertainment industry,
has made its base in The Rocket.
The company has set
itself up for growth, securing 369
square metre premises in the 16-level CBDRobina tower under a five-year lease
with option.
The deal, with
developer Robina Projects Australia, has seen Guvera relocate to level nine of
the tower from smaller premises in nearby
Riverwalk Place.
Launched in
2009, Guvera is an unlisted public company with offices in New York and Gold
Coast City where it employs close to 70 staff.
In 2009 and 2010,
it struck deals with a string of entertainment industry organisations – including
Universal Music Group, EMI and the Australian Performing Rights Association –
enabling it to deliver free streams and downloads via its website ? www.guvera.com.
Content is accessed via
branded microsites paid for by advertisers which have a role in choosing the
music content, enabling them to align their message
with a target market.
The business system utilises proprietary Guvera software that
tracks transacted content and enables payment to content owners.
Guvera recently redesigned its website, streamlining access to
content and adding to its visual appeal.
Advertising partners have included Microsoft, McDonalds, Pepsi,
Schweppes, Johnson and Johnson, American Express and The Gold Coast Bulletin.
Claes Loberg CEO and founder of Guvera said CBDRobina worked well
for Guvera as a business location and The Rocket’s ultra-modern design complemented
the cutting-edge nature of the company’s operations.
“Guvera is a young company with significant growth potential and
The Rocket premises position us for that growth while providing a corporate
address and image without peer,” he said.
“The Guvera business model is swiftly gaining acceptance as a
solution to the piracy of entertainment industry intellectual property and
relocation to The Rocket is a further step on the company’s growth path,” he
said.
“Additionally, the ninth-level
location offers panoramic views and an appealing environment not only for staff
but also for our clients, who have the benefit of a central-city location with motorway
access and ease of parking.”
RPA General Manager Hylton Slater said Guvera recognised the many advantages
of CBDRobina, Gold Coast City’s master-planned business centre, including motorway,
bus and train access and outstanding retail and dining amenities.
“The Rocket meets Guvera’s need for fast broadband speeds and
smart-wiring which are essential to any online business.”
The Rocket sits beside Lake Lido at 203 Robina Town Centre Drive
and has 11,181 square metres of office space above an 1800 square metre
ground-level retail precinct.
The office vacancy rate for CBDRobina currently sits below 7 per
cent, a reflection of strong business confidence in the central location.
Leasing in The Rocket is managed by Marcus Weld,
of Robina Marketing Australia, with just eight office spaces ranging from 104
to 269 square metres remaining available for lease.
